About INTERNET ORDERS

Hi everyone, I am the newest member at The Knitting Studio.  I moved here from Connecticut in 2003 and I think I am finally getting used to Vermont.  I have been knitting since I was a kid, my mother taught me, and my sisters both knit.  I remember the first thing I worked on was red and it had holes in it. I've gotten much better over the years.  I have made many sweaters for the family, some of them are more than twenty years old and we still wear them.  I taught myself how to do different techniques when my kids were small as their sweaters were the perfect size to try something new.  I am a finisher, I never used to start on a new project until I was done with one, but that is hard  to do since I started to "work" at the yarn shop.  I'm proud of my mother at 92+ years old  in a nursing home, I have her knitting felted bags and it has helped to keep her hands moving and her mind going. She tells me the next color of yarn she wants to work on and then I send it to her.

I really enjoy the customers that come into the shop. It's fun to see your projects. To all of the new knitters out there we are here to help.
